Cupping uses simple glass cups suctioned against the skin to facilitate the healing of muscle injury and pain, bronchial congestion, common cold, and asthma. With the use of heat, an acupuncturist suctions the cups against the skin (usually on the back) and may move them around gently to promote circulation of Qi.
